Ashley Biden to Keynote 28th Annual Women’s Leadership Conference; Award Winners Announced

The New Castle County Chamber of Commerce is committed to advancing professional and economic opportunities for women, both in the workforce and as business owners. The Chamber’s 28th Annual Women’s Leadership Conference will provide a forum in which women in all levels of business can connect with resources, including educational and business opportunities, that inspire them to achieve success in professional and personal goals.

This year’s event will feature all new workshops, more than 100 exhibitors and networking with over 500 expected attendees. The workshops will provide valuable knowledge and insight into topics and areas of interest for professional women at all levels of their careers.

The highlight of the conference is the awards luncheon featuring a keynote speaker and awards presentations. Ashley Biden, Executive Director of Delaware Center for Justice, will give the keynote speech during the luncheon portion of the day. She was a social worker for 15 years before joining the Center for Justice, most recently at the Delaware Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families.

“This event gets bigger and better every year,” said New Castle County Chamber of Commerce President, Bob Chadwick. “This is one of our most popular events because it provides educational and motivational opportunities for attendees while expanding foot traffic for sponsors and vendors. Everyone walks away as a winner from this conference!”

The Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year Award will be presented to Patricia V. Rivera, Owner of Hook PR. A brand storyteller and marketing consultant, Patricia excels at helping Delaware organizations build their brands with meaningful content across multiple channels.
