Bartlett Tree Experts is a 113-year-old science-based tree and shrub service company.

What is an interesting fact about your business most people do not know? Bartlett Tree Experts maintains the largest private research lab facility dedicated solely to real research in the United States. The facility is located on a 300-acre arboretum in Charlotte, NC.

How do you market your business? How are people aware of your business? Word of mouth and referrals and name brand recognition are our main focus of marketing. We believe a satisfied, educated client is our best advertisement. We also market with direct mail, e-mail campaigns, networking events, and yard signs as additional marketing methods.

How do the social, economic, environmental, technological, legal, and political environments impact your business? Like all businesses, we are subject to the ebb and flow of business cycles, including the current health crisis. We are the ultimate “green” company as we are dedicated to preserving trees and plant health.

What motivated Bartlett Tree Experts to become a Chamber member? How long have you been a Chamber member? We wanted to support our local community and Chamber members and have since 4/1/1987.

What aspect of the Chamber have you taken advantage of the most? We have attended several Chamber events and have had the opportunity to meet and network with a diverse group of business professionals.

How has the Chamber helped your business? We believe in scientific and ethical recommendations and practices. We believe the Chamber upholds these practices.

What motivates you? Our motivation is to be the leader of the highest quality and service as a tree organization in our industry. We are specialists in our industry and take great pride in that.

When you are not working, where do you like to spend your time? Being outdoor enthusiasts, we enjoy many recommended activities. Every three months, we have an office team-building event to promote comradery with our team. We have, on average, tenure of 10 years with our staff of over 25 team members.

What advice would you give a new (or current) chamber members? Continue to network.
