Community
- Highmark Delaware’s BluePrints for the Community made a $200,000 contribution to the statewide Delaware COVID-19 Emergency Response Initiative, created to assist individuals, families, and organizations, experiencing hardship due to the COVID-19 crisis.
- The Highmark enterprise gave a total of $2 million throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Delaware, for COVID-related community support.
- Highmark Walk for Healthy Communities transitioned to a virtual walk and online fundraiser where participants can count steps and fundraise online to support over 30 organizations in Delaware.
- Highmark proactively shifted around 14,000 employees to a work from home situation within a matter of days, soon to total 17,000 who are working remotely, without causing any disruption for our customers or providers.
- Highmark is covering in- and out-of-network COVID-19 testing, when ordered by a clinician; and members who require in-network, inpatient hospital care for COVID-19, or who use telehealth services will not incur any deductibles, co-insurance or co-pays.
- Payments through the True Performance reimbursement program for Primary Care Physicians were advanced, with $1,941,257 being paid early to 59 Delaware providers.
- Highmark fast-tracked implementation of the Aunt Bertha, an online referral tool that connects employees, patients and members, with community-based organizations and services for free.
- Highmark most recently announced access to a comprehensive, technology-enabled opioid use disorder (OUD) program, in partnership with Bright Heart Health, to help preserve treatment access and promote recovery during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
