Elements of the 2018 Delaware Entrepreneurial Summit:
-
A full day summit with two tracks (technical/science and general entrepreneurship) featuring dynamic speakers on key challenges that hinder business start-up and growth.
This year's topics include:
From Concept to Cash Flow: Mark Hurd, CEO of Oracle, once said “without execution, vision is just another word for hallucination.” Too often, we get stuck in the strategic planning stage. Panel discussions will discuss how to effectively move from vision > strategy > planning > execution > cash flow and really get the ball rolling.
¨ Science/Tech Track: Commercializing Technical Research—A Unique Set of Problems
¨ Entrepreneurship Track: Beyond the Business Plan
Storytelling—How to Articulate Your Value Proposition: A hands-on workshop that offers techniques to move beyond features and benefits to express and articulate true value.
Sources of Funding: panel discussions that discuss available sources of funding and what each looks for in a start up or small business.
¨ Science/TechTrack: Venture capital & angel investors, seed grants—what do investors and grantors look for before investing in a new technology?
¨ Entrepreneurship Track: From traditional loans, to grants & government loans, to non-traditional sources of funding—which is the best fit for your business and how do you qualify?
