Our 96th Annual Dinner will be a celebration of the critical role that our businesses have played in building stronger and more vibrant communities. This year's Keynote Speaker, Longwood Foundation, President Thère du Pont, will be joining us in this celebration and addressing the most pressing challenges our communities will face in the years ahead.SOLD OUT!
Thère du Pont
Thère is President of the Longwood Foundation, a private foundation principally supporting charitable organizations in the state of Delaware and southern Chester County, Pennsylvania. He currently serves on the boards of WSFS Financial Corporation and Burris Logistics and is an ex-officio member of the DowDupont Board. At WSFS, he is the Lead Director and Chairs the Governance & Nominating Committee. He has been on DuPont’s Board since 2006 where he chaired the Audit Committee for five years and has served as a member of the Science & Technology, Governance, and Compensation Committees (at various intervals). He is Board Chair of the Community Education Building in Wilmington. In 2007 and 2008, he served as Senior Vice President, Operations and Chief Financial Officer of drugstore.com, a leading online provider of health, beauty, vision and pharmacy products. Prior to that, Mr. du Pont served as President and Chief Financial Officer of Wawa, Inc., a chain of food markets on the east coast. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration from Stanford University.
