Event Description:
On November 4, 2017, Camp Possibilities, a non-profit organization (Tax-ID No. 51-0412903), is hosting its 1st Annual Bull Roast fundraiser. Our event will be held at the Richlin Ballroom, 1700 Van Bibber Road, Edgewood, Maryland 21040 from 7:30-11:30 p.m., where our guests will enjoy an all-you-can-eat hot and cold buffet, pit beef, turkey, raw oysters, drinks and music in a casual atmosphere. Camp Possibilities, a camp for children with diabetes, was established in 2002 as a 501(C) (3) non-profit organization and is held at Camp Ramblewood in Darlington, Maryland (Harford County) each year. Campers, including my daughter, come from Maryland and the surrounding states to participate in activities such as swimming, fishing, arts and crafts, field games, nature walks, talent shows, dance and more – in a medically safe environment. This allows children to meet and interact with other children like themselves and to learn more about their diabetes. There are over 70 volunteers, including past campers, pediatric endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, certified diabetes educators, registered dieticians and other medical staff, collectively give over 5000 hours of their time, knowledge and service for children to come to camp. We are hoping generous organizations and companies, such as yourself, will donate items (or attend!) to be included for our ticket-drop auction, silent auction or to be door prizes. We would love to include a beautiful basket, gift certificate or any donation you would be willing to give at our upcoming event. It is our goal to acquire as many donations as we can for this event. Your name, the name of your business and the donation will be featured in our flier that evening in an effort to advertise for you and to gratefully recognize your commitment to the children of Camp Possibilities.
