Description
How to create an effective pitch will be a great class for those needing to learn how to present your idea in a short amount of time with a clear, concise, and compelling message. First start with who you are, who you serve, what you do, and how do you do it? Each pitch must be presented differently for different audiences but the core message should always be the same. Learn how to set the stage, tell the story, have an ask and Win the prize. Presentors will have you working in groups to really get you thinking about a clear objective, layout, planned outcome, and supporting details. In addition, the second part of the presentation will work on how to do a pitch via video for competitions such as "Swim with the Sharks Video Pitch Competition". Get tips and tools of the trade on how to put everything you have learned into practice to help you be successful in business and marketing.
Topics:
- Core Message should be common in all pitches
- Pitch should be tailored to audience (customer, investor, supplier, media)
- Clear, Concise, Compelling message (demonstrating value proposition, supported with facts) Understanding process of constructing a pitch
Note: This event is open to the public. You do not have to be a participant of the Swim with the Sharks Video Pitch Competition to learn from this workshop. Attendance at these workshops are NOT required to participate in SWTS Video Pitch Competition. However, anyone attending both workshops (How to Create an Effective Pitch and How to Use Video to Market your Business) and submitting a video to SWTS will be offered ½ price tickets to the EEC Luncheon.
