Description
Division of Small Business, Development, and Tourism Schedules Three Community Listening Sessions
The State of Delaware is refocusing its economic development efforts and priorities and needs your input to determine an effective and workable path forward. As you may be aware, in June 2017 the General Assembly dissolved the Delaware Economic Development Office. To guide Delaware's economic development efforts moving forward, a public-private Delaware Prosperity Partnership is being formed and a Division of Small Business, Development, and Tourism was created within the Department of State.
To solicit public input on the future of the Division of Small Business, Development, and Tourism, the Division is hosting three Community Listening Sessions. During these sessions, attendees will learn about potential approaches for future small business development efforts in Delaware. After an initial, 30-minute information session, attendees will participate in a facilitated conversation to discuss options for moving forward. The hope is that this engaging and transparent conversation will help to further align the Division's activities with business and community needs.
