Description
On May 9th, join the conversation with all 14 chambers of commerce in the state at Small Business Day in Dover. A half day, immersive experience in Delaware's capital, you will learn about current issues that could impact your business and interact with the legislators who can pass or vote down these bills.
AGENDA
10:00 a.m.
Meet us at Fraizer's Restaurant for a focused workshop on the most important issues of this legislative session. Learn why the small business community's presence at Legislative Hall is so important and how you, as a small business leader, can get more involved. This workshop will educate you on bills the General Assembly will be voting on and prepare you to have an educated conversation when you meet with your legislator later in the day.
11:00 a.m.
We are bringing the House Small Business Caucus meeting to us at Fraizer's! Chaired by Representatives Quinn Johnson, Daniel Short and Michael Ramone, here is your chance to participate in an open forum and discuss all things small business in our state. A lunch buffet will be provided.
1:30 p.m.
Optional: Put your advocacy skills to work and meet your organization's legislator one-on-one. The State Chamber will schedule the meeting for you and provide talking points to guide you through the discussion. Every organization is different and legislators need to know how legislation will affect your small business. You will have the chance to talk about your organization and why it is unique.
Optional: Take a tour of Legislative Hall.
