Event Description:

Technology can help you improve the way your staff carry out tasks. This can either speed up existing processes or allow new, more flexible ways of carrying out the job.

In order to work out the best technology for your needs, you should assess your current systems against your requirements.  The best solution for your business will depend greatly on your industry. Research what your competitors or other companies in your industry are using and consider consumer technologies that are widely available as these may be cheaper if you only have a small number of staff.

This session will cover types of technologies that your company can leverage for growth such as VoIP phones, Cloud technologies, and Digital Business Cards.

Speakers:

Rich Kenney is a successful entrepreneur and is the Vice President and co-founder of TechSolutions, Inc.  He left his role as a Network Administrator at a prestigious Wilmington law firm to start his business while his wife was pregnant with their first child ... 20 years ago. TechSolutions is a Wilmington-based Information Technology provider that manages thousands of computers for over 150 successful entrepreneurial firms and small business icons in the region.  Every managed computer is current on antivirus and security updates; all data is protected both onsite and in the cloud; and every user is supported.  Additionally, none of those managed clients have fallen victim to ransomware pirates.  He has helped hundreds of businesses proactively think through their IT needs to increase efficiency and automation, be able to successfully predict IT expenditures, and rapidly scale their businesses.

Rich shares responsibility for the overall operation and direction of TechSolutions and focuses specifically on sales.  He proudly obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from his alma mater, North Carolina State University.  He started in the IT field in 1993 as a certified technical instructor for technologies such as Novell, Microsoft, and CompTIA.  His credentials include engineer certifications from Microsoft and Novell; technical certifications from VMware, Dell, and CompTIA; and sales certifications from Dell, VMware, Microsoft and Citrix.  Rich is a passionate sports fan who supports NC State athletics as well as the Phillies, the Flyers, and the Washington Redskins.  He enjoys playing volleyball and spending time with his family while actively participating as a Boy Scout leader and a marching band pit crew dad.
