The Board of Directors of the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce has named Bob Chadwick as President.
Chadwick, an 11 year veteran of the Chamber, has served as Acting President since the resignation of former President Mark Kleinschmidt in November of 2017. Previously, Chadwick was Executive Vice President of the Chamber as well as Director of the Chamber’s New Castle County Economic Development Council. Prior to joining the Chamber, Chadwick had a long career in government, politics, and business. He worked in public affairs for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region III, served as a spokesperson for the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services in the administration of Governor Mike Castle and was Executive Director of the Delaware Republican Party through most of the 1990’S. After a five year stint as a marketing officer with First USA Bank and Bank One, he managed his own consulting firm until joining the County Chamber in 2007.
“We are thrilled to have Bob Chadwick as our President,” said County Chamber Board Chairman Tim Boulden. Said Boulden, “He has successfully led our organization through a critical transition over the past several months and is uniquely positioned to provide the leadership we need to advance the interests of our 1,000+ member companies. We have tremendous confidence in his ability to not only successfully manage our organization, but also to be a leader and advocate for the business community throughout New Castle County and the entire region.”
According to Chadwick, “I am honored and privileged to have this opportunity to lead a dynamic and impactful business organization. We play a leading role in advocating for the business community at all levels of government, building the entrepreneurial ecosystem in our state via our Emerging Enterprise Center, and offering our members a robust suite of networking and business education programming throughout the year.” “Looking forward”, said Chadwick, “I envision our organization also playing a key role in accelerating business growth through targeted industry and subject matter initiatives.”
