Out of the Ordinary Catering does a great deal to help and be active in the community.

Beginning In June Out of the Ordinary Catering volunteered at the Urban Promise Summer Camp In Wilmington Delaware every Monday.  On that day, they did a cooking demo, in which Catering Director, Robert Clayton, taught the kids how to make easy healthy snacks. He also taught them some front of the house skills which included: how to set up a dining room table and also how to properly serve a table in a restaurant setting.

In August, Out of the Ordinary Catering did their 3rd annual Back to School give away in Middletown Delaware.  During their give away, they gave school supplies including, notebooks, pencils, pens, crayons, and book bags to over 150 children.  The Previous 2 years, they gave away supplies to 80 kids and 120 kids.  Each year we are growing and giving away more supplies. Coca Cola has been their sponsor for all 3 years.  They donate beverages and and clothing for us to give away.  They also provided free hot dogs and hamburgers.

In September, Robert continued to volunteer at the Urban Promise School on Mondays.  During this day, he would assist the kids with their homework and after school activities. They also gave back to the teachers at Cedar Lane Early Childhood Center and the Boys and Girls club in Middletown, Delaware by stopping by to feed them lunch as a thank you for what they do, not just for his children, but all the kids in our district

In November, Out of the Ordinary Catering took their food truck down to Wilmington Delaware and fed the homeless. They opened up the windows to the food truck and turned it into a mobile soup kitchen. They fed over 150 men and women.

It is Robert's passion to be very active in the community, and they will continue to be very active in 2018!
