The Business of Giving

Are you a business owner, corporate manager, or an employee with a desire to impact the lives of those less fortunate?  Here are some ways that your business can impact men, women, and children struggling with homelessness, hurt, and hunger.
  • Sponsor a day of Caring.  You can coordinate a day of caring and provide volunteer hours to complete a special service project helping SBM to continue serving individuals and families daily.

  • Create a blue jeans or flip-flop Friday at the Office.  You and your team can raise funds for wearing a certain article of clothing which is donated at the end of the campaign to help SBM with providing clean and safe shelter for our overnight guests nightly.

  • Corporate matching.  Many businesses are setting up corporate matching campaigns to help build philanthropy into the DNA of their company.  Your giving could possibly double, helping SBM caring for personal and medical needs of residents in SBM’s Bible Based Rehabilitation Program.

  • Host a food drive.  You can collect non-perishable food items that will help build nutritious meals being served daily during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

  • Recommend SBM for a Corporate Grant.  Many companies receive recommendations from their employees for corporate grants.  Your recommendation has the potential to make a significant impact in the services and programs being provided to the hurting, homeless, and hungry here at SBM.

Whatever your idea is, rally co-workers, staff, your leaders and make it fun!  Give it your all, and recognize you are making a difference in the lives of your homeless neighbors. Remember the Lord loves a Cheerful Giver!  So, let’s be in the business of giving.
