MEDIA ADVISORY: Local Students Get Hands-On Experience in Leading-Edge Health Care Technology
Christiana Care Health & Technology Innovation Center and Coded by Kids partner to create an exciting mentoring opportunity for kids
WHAT: Christiana Care Health System’s Health & Technology Innovation Center mentoring students involved with Coded by Kids
WHEN: Friday, March 1st from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
WHERE: Christiana Care’s Health & Technology Innovation Center, Wilmington Hospital, 501 W 14th Street, Wilmington, DE 19801
WHY:  Christiana Care’s Health & Technology Innovation Center will host a mentoring session with local middle and high school students involved in the nonprofit tech education organization Coded by Kids. The event will include a tour of this unique facility, where health care experts and IT professionals collaborate to develop technology solutions that improve patient care and make a positive impact on health. The tour will be followed by mentoring sessions focused on user interface design, businesses analysis and software development. This mentoring session is an opportunity for the next generation to learn about innovation and technology-related career opportunities that exist in health care.
