James Gulezian Bio: As a Strategic Human Resources Leader whose passion is Organizational Effectiveness, Jim brought significant bottom-line impact in areas including business-to-business publications, aerospace/aircraft, data communications systems, defense electronics, commercial business forms printing, and military/commercial aircraft arrestment systems sectors. Jim directed his business acumen and organizational diagnostic and assessment skills toward eliminating wasteful, non-value-add processes, while incorporating technology-based solutions to minimize cost and time spent in carrying out administrative tasks. His first HR Generalist role was that of a site HR Manager for a defense electronics company, where he successfully transformed under-performing HR functions that were disengaged from the DNA of the business, integrating them into the strategic, tactical, and operational elements of the enterprise. Jim developed effective Human Capital ROI frameworks built on key competencies, carefully calibrated proficiency levels, performance metrics and SMART goals. He also developed and executed succession planning programs, company-wide safety and health programs, comprehensive training and development initiatives, major recruitment endeavors, and company-wide process improvement programs. Through the design of company-wide bonus and deferred compensation plans, Jim enabled the alignment of financial rewards with the achievement of individual and group results within all levels of the enterprise. Jim is an invited speaker at SHRM and other HR venues in the greater Philadelphia area. He also actively mentors HR professionals at all levels in their career development and career transition endeavors. In recognition of his overall efforts and years of dedication to the Human Resources profession, Jim was selected as the 2011 HR Person of the Year for Mid-Sized Companies by SHRM chapters in the Southeastern PA/NJ/DEL Tri-State area. Jim is currently an adjunct professor with Goldey-Beacom College, Cabrini University, The American College of Financial Services, and Corporate College Services, teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses in leadership, business management, and human resources.
