Caregiving During the Holiday Season: Strategies to Survive the Most Wonderful Time of Year While the holidays are a time of joy and celebration, they can also be difficult for children with autism or other disabilities. This workshop, presented by Sarah Mallory, Ph. D, interim Director of the Health and Wellness unit in the Center for Disabilities Studies, will review why the holidays can be particularly challenging for children with disabilities and their families or caregivers, while presenting strategies that can assist in reducing holiday-related stress and challenging behaviors.
