Presented by Hill's, NBCUniversal Local is teaming up with hundreds of shelters across the country to host Clear The Shelters in August 2026, a nationwide pet adoption and donation campaign that helps find loving homes for animals in need.

This week is Clear the Shelters "Crescendo Week" culminating with "Crescendo Weekend" August 28, 29 & 30. We are offering a remarkable 50% reduction in adoption fees for all our beloved cats and kittens! This is a wonderful opportunity for you to welcome a furry friend into your home and heart.  (Note: The reduced adoption fees are in effect now)!

We invite you to visit our adoption events this weekend or stop by any of our other adoption centers to meet the adorable cats and kittens waiting for their forever families. But hurry—this special reduced adoption rate will only be available until the end of the day on Sunday, August 30. Don’t miss out on the chance to change a life, both theirs and yours!
