This August, we're launching a new workshop series hosted by our entrepreneur Antinette Watson, owner of The Stand.
Join Antinette and our WKC community for "Built to Serve," a 5-part professional development series designed to empower entry-level employees, workforce participants, and reentry individuals with the mindset, skills, and confidence to thrive in service-based roles.Through interactive workshops focused on communication, professionalism, customer experience, and personal growth, participants will learn how to show up, serve well, and grow forward. This series bridges the gap between “just a job” and "meaningful career development."
Up first...
"Own It: The Power of Service Work" on Aug. 19 from 6-8 PM at Grace UMC (900 N. Washington Street). Explore what service work is, its value in the workforce, and how to take pride in your role and see it as a career-building opportunity!
