The New Castle County Chamber of Commerce (NCCCC) is seeking a Manager of Membership Development to lead new member sales, engagement, and retention. This role drives one of the Chamber’s most important goals — growing and strengthening our vibrant network of over 1,000 businesses across Delaware.
The New Castle County Chamber of Commerce (NCCCC) is seeking a Manager of Membership Development to lead new member sales, engagement, and retention. This role drives one of the Chamber’s most important goals — growing and strengthening our vibrant network of over 1,000 businesses across Delaware.
As a key member of our business development team, you’ll identify and recruit prospective members, support current members, and help businesses connect with the Chamber’s full range of programs — from advocacy and networking to our Emerging Enterprise Center (EEC) incubator for startups and small businesses.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead membership sales efforts and meet growth goals.
- Build relationships with prospective and current members to ensure engagement and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Chamber team on events, programs, and sponsorship opportunities.
- Support the Chamber’s Emerging Enterprise Center’s initiatives and clients.
- Represent the Chamber at business events, resource groups, and community functions.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5 years of successful experience in sales, business development, or membership growth.
- A self-starter whose goal-driven, people-oriented, and passionate about supporting local businesses.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; CRM experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Delaware’s business community or experience working with small businesses/startups is a plus.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: $35,000 - $45,000 annually
- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $63,800 - $73,800 annually
- Commission: Commission is paid monthly based on a percentage of sales. Earning potential can exceed OTE for high performers.
