Position Overview: As a Line Cook, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, contributing to the preparation and production of high-quality food. You will work under the guidance of experienced chefs to learn essential culinary skills and techniques. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for food.

Aunt Vonda’s Kitchen Table is a black-owned, family-oriented restaurant where hospitality feels like home. With this expansion, we’re excited to bring our community both the warmth of our kitchen table and the elevated experience of plated dining.
Shift: Wednesday - Sunday Pay: $15 Key
Responsibilities
Food Preparation:
- Assist in preparing ingredients, such as chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables, fruits, and meats
- Measure and weigh ingredients accurately
- Marinate and season food items as per recipes
Cooking:
- Cook food items using various cooking methods, including grilling, sautéing, baking, and frying
- Monitor food temperatures to ensure food safety standards are met
- Plate dishes according to established presentation standards
Cleaning and Sanitation:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Wash dishes, pots, and pans
- Sanitize kitchen equipment and surfaces
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Learning and Development:
- Eagerly learn new culinary techniques and recipes
- Follow instructions from chefs and supervisors
- Participate in training sessions and workshops.
Qualifications:
- Basic Culinary Skills: A foundational understanding of cooking techniques and food safety practices
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive Attitude: A willingness to learn and a team-oriented approach
- Attention to Detail: The ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain high standards of quality
- Food Safety Certification: Required
