Economic Justice Policy and Prevention Coordinator

Primary Responsibilities:
 

The Economic Justice Policy and Prevention Coordinator will work to advance DCADV’s Economic Justice (EJ) work throughout the state of Delaware. Funded through the CDC’s DELTA: AHEAD1 Grant, this position will lead DCADV’s INVEST-DE Project2, engaging employers and service providers in creating safer workplaces through workplace-policy implementation and support. This position will collaborate as a member of DCADV’s Economic Justice, Prevention, and Training Teams to increase the capacity of DCADV partners and member programs in implementing Economically Just policies and practices.
 

Part Time/Non-Exempt: 24 hours per/week. Salary: $26.00 per/hour
 

Duties:
 

 Lead and expand the INVEST DE group with the goal of expanding Economically Just Supports in workplaces.

 Support the Coalition’s training efforts, including building prevention capacity, especially in support of the State Leadership Team and Member Programs involved in prevention.

 Participate in the program meetings including the State Leadership Team, CDC DELTA AHEAD Collaborative meetings, and meetings with Coordinated Community Response (CCR) Teams: The Domestic Violence Task Force and the Delaware Victims’ Rights Task Force.

 Work with DCADV’s policy team on statewide efforts to strengthen economic support for families.

 Coordinate the creation and dissemination of EJ materials and resources, including factsheets, social media posts and other materials.

 Participate in DCADV staff and team meetings as required.

 Perform other job duties as assigned by the Prevention Director.


Qualifications:
 

 Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in social work, public policy, public health, social science, women’s studies or related field.

 Knowledge of and commitment to ending domestic and sexual violence.

 Understanding of primary prevention strategies, including economic justice a plus.

 Strong written and oral communication skills, including public speaking skills.

 A commitment to building an inclusive workplace and work practice to celebrate a culture of belonging.

 Ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships with a diverse group of individuals and community partners.

 Technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Canva a plus)

 Access to transportation and ability to travel around Delaware. Occasional travel to other states for conferences and meetings may also occur.
