Legislative Update, Week of October 28, 2024
The General Election is November 5. It is vitally important that we exercise our right to vote and make our voices heard.
Offices ranging from municipal (City of Wilmington) to the federal level (president, one U.S. Senate seat, and Delaware’s lone House seat) are on the ballot. At the state level, Delaware will be electing a new governor, lieutenant governor, state House and a number of State Senators. In New Castle County, one-half of the district seats for New Castle County Council, Council president, and the county executive are on the ballot. A list of candidates on the General Election ballot can be found on the Filed Candidates by Office page on the DOE website. Included on the list are links to many of the candidates’ websites, which provide additional background.
Early voting begins on October 25 and concludes on November 3.
- Specific periods for early voting are October 25 – October 29, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., and October 30 – November 3, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
