Middletown, DE — November 1, 2025 — DEXSTA Federal Credit Union hosted its second successful shred event of the year at their Middletown, DE location! The event is aimed at promoting community security, sustainability, and camaraderie. DEXSTA enjoys witnessing the community's enthusiasm and eagerness towards the secure disposal of sensitive documents. With identity theft and fraud on the rise, DEXSTA took the necessary steps needed to empower the community, safely and conveniently. From old tax documents to bank statements, participants brought a wide range of documents to be securely shredded on-site by professional shredding services. We are proud to announce that approximately 6.5 tons of paper was recycled!

After shredding, members were greeted by DEXSTA team members, offering treats such as soft pretzels, and the opportunity to spin their luck on the DEXSTA prize wheel! It is truly an honor to hear stories from our loyal members, including those who have been entrusting us since our early days at the DuPont Experimental Station. Meaningful events like these further strengthen the bond between DEXSTA and the community it serves, fostering trust and goodwill among participants. Those in attendance expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to declutter their homes and offices while also taking proactive steps to protect their privacy.
