Delaware Tech to Honor James Ray Rhodes during Black History Month Celebration

WHAT:              Delaware Technical Community College will recognize James “Ray” Rhodes during an honoree celebration on Thursday, February 13, as part of its Black History Month events. Rhodes has made a lasting impact on Delaware through his leadership in STEM education, community engagement, government service, and youth mentorship. From overseeing Eastside Charter School's $26 million STEM Hub to serving as Board Chairman for Kingswood Community Center, Ray has dedicated his career to empowering individuals and communities.

 

Since 1998, Delaware Technical Community College's Stanton and George Campuses have been celebrating Black History Month by recognizing a member of the community for their outstanding personal and professional achievements. The College selects individuals who have made significant contributions to the community and have made an impact on improving the quality of life throughout the State.

                       

WHEN:           Members of the media are invited to attend the ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The celebration is free and open to the public.
