Jill Abbott joins Delaware Prosperity Partnership as engagement manager

Jill Abbott, a longtime Winterthur Museum, Gardens and Library staff member, has joined Delaware Prosperity Partnership (DPP) as its new engagement manager. During her 27 years at Winterthur, she ran one of Delaware’s most iconic traditions – Point-to-Point – and also promoted Delaware through other large-scale events like PBS Antiques Roadshow and the BMW Championships.

At DPP, she works closely with President/CEO Kurt Foreman and is a point person for key relationships and constituencies – including the Board of Directors and its committees; investors; and local, county and specialty service partners. She also collaborates with DPP’s leadership team and other staff to plan and execute investment campaigns, events and other activities to support the statewide, public/private economic development organization’s mission of promoting prosperity throughout Delaware.

Abbott has been named one of Delaware’s Most Influential Entertainment People and one of Delaware Today’s Women in Business. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in American studies and history from the University of Delaware and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a Board member of the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Club of Delaware and enjoys spending time at the Delaware beaches.
