Landmark announces new hires for Engineering and Environmental Staff

Newark, Del., April 18, 2025, the Board of Directors of Landmark Science & Engineering, a leading consulting firm in Delaware and Maryland specializing in site/civil and water resources engineering, environmental sciences and land surveying is pleased to announce two new hires for the firm’s headquarters in Newark, Delaware. Rob Josefowski has joined the firm as a Senior Environmental Scientist, and Wes Gordy has joined the firm as a Senior Civil Designer.

Robert Josefowski joined Landmark in April 2025, stepping into the role of Senior Environmental Scientist. Rob manages and performs environmental investigations including wetland and forest stand delineations, wetland mitigation design, construction oversight and monitoring, wetland permitting, forest conservation plans and reforestation plans. He conducts NEPA environmental assessments, Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, groundwater infiltration testing, Delaware Coastal Zone permitting, and has assisted in numerous brownfields and other hazardous site remediation projects.

Rob has a strong background in Environmental Science through many years of work experience in both the private and public sectors including Ten Bears Environmental Associates and DNREC; Division of Water, Wetlands and Subaqueous Lands Section and DNREC: Division of Fish and Wildlife, Fisheries Section. Mr. Josefowski earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Natural Resources, with a Minor in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Delaware and is in the process of earning his Professional Wetland Scientist Certification (PWS).

He and his wife Stephanie live in New Castle with their two cats and rabbit. In his spare time Rob enjoys running, backpacking, playing board games, volunteering, traveling, and gardening.

Wes Gordy rejoined Landmark as a Senior Civil Designer in April 2025. His primary responsibilities include preparing construction drawings and documents for the various projects taken on by the company utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D. These included, but were not limited to preparing Existing Conditions Plans, Concept Plans and Sketches, Site Plans, DelDOT Entrance Plans and Off-Site Road Improvement Plans, Utility Plans and Profiles, Stormwater Management Plans including Pre and Post Development plans and reports utilizing Hydrocad, preparing hydraulic analysis of storm sewers utilizing Hydraflow, Erosion and Sediment Control Plans, and Fire Marshal Plans.

Wes has over 20 years of experience in the Civil Engineering industry and has worked at various firms
including Becker Morgan Group, Inc., Axiom Engineering, LLC, Century Engineering, Inc., and Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc. His background provides a wealth of knowledge to the Landmark team. Mr. Gordy earned an Applied Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Delaware Technical and Community College (DTCC).
